What’s New in German Film?

Once a month, the DFF and the film magazine epd film join forces to present an outstanding German-language film, followed by a workshop discussion.

In September, the focus will be on the Eberhofer detective series, based on the novels by Rita Falk, which have become a phenomenon in German cinema. Originally conceived as a TV series, they became cult films in cinemas, first in Bavaria and then nationwide. The plot always revolves around the former detective Franz Eberhofer, who was transferred as a disciplinary measure to the Lower Bavarian province of Niederkaltenkirchen. REHRAGOUT-RENDEZVOUS is already the ninth film in the hugely successful series, all directed by Ed Herzog, who will be our guest for a post-screening discussion.
