Black & Asian Screen Solidarity

Short film program with Discussion and Workshop

In September, the DFF will host an evening of short films, featuring four works from Black and various Asian communities in Germany. The event will explore the evolving landscape of post-migrant cinema. Following the screenings, the filmmakers will share insights into their creative processes and engage in a discussion on diversity and inclusion in German cinema.

This short film evening is part of the two-day event Black & Asian Screen Solidarity, organized by Kaddi Wandaogo, Vika Gurina, and Dieu Hao Do (BAFNET). The program includes film screenings, keynote talks with discussion sessions, and opportunities for community building. The goal is to reflect on perspectives within a society perceived as structurally racist and to foster solidarity among marginalized communities in German cinema.
